After graduating from high school, Nonna went to Moscow and in 1990 entered the Boris Shchukin Higher Theater School, which she graduated from in 1994. Already in her first year, she was invited to the troupe by three Moscow theaters, from which she chose the famous Vakhtangov Theater. Nonna performed on this stage until 2009, occasionally collaborating with the theater even after leaving.

Acting career

Nonna Grishayeva now

Today, Nonna dedicates all her time to her theater and also performs in impromptu performances, at the “Quartet I” Theater, and goes on numerous tours.

In January 2021, there was a fire in the MOGTYUZ building. Most of the costumes and decorations were destroyed, the stage was damaged, as were the musical instruments. Colleagues from other theaters came to the troupe’s aid, providing venues for performances. In this “outbound” format, the theater operated until October. Eventually, the repairs were completed, and the actors returned home. Grishayeva thanked everyone who did not remain indifferent to their distress:

I am grateful to the artistic directors and directors of those theaters that gave us the opportunity to play at their venues. Thanks to them, we survived.

In parallel, Grishayeva appeared in the comedy series “Helium‑3,” where she played the eccentric head of the comic station “Zakat,” built to protect the Earth from an asteroid. An entire squad of not very talented, but charming employees who did not find a place on their home planet ends up under her command.
